Based on your responses, it looks like you may have grown accustomed to working alone and managing things yourself.

But that's not to say that a VA isn't for you! Just that your mindset and the way you currently work may need evaluated before you jump into a relationship with a VA. It will be important you know what you are getting into with a VA and what you should expect from the relationship.

Consider starting slowly in a relationship with a Virtual Assistant, beginning with small tasks and working your way up to larger ones. Be sure to articulate carefully the work to be done, and resist the probable urge to micro-manage your VA.
 
As you have probably started to pick up, working with a VA can do wonders for you and your company by freeing up your time so you can focus on the parts of your business that you really enjoy.
This freedom doesn't come without sacrifice, however. A sacrifice of even the small details in your business is something that is hard for many business owners who have been "in the trenches" by themselves for so long.

I GET IT... for real, this was hard for me too!

But I also know what the other side looks like -- freedom, growth, success. VAs are such a valuable resource available to you if you know how to work with them.

That "how" requires a ton of trial and error if you don't have any sort of guidance and could ultimately lead to you writing off working with a virtual assistant completely.

For now, I want you to start thinking about how you can document what you do, and what it would be like if you didn't have to do it.
